We were extremely fortunate to welcome a wide range of esteemed employers, apprenticeship and education providers to our annual Apprenticeship and Careers Event.

Over 500 students explored the fair and learned more about the fantastic pathways that their studies may lead into - some of which they had not previously considered.

Heather Middlehurst of Stateside Foods said “It is fantastic to see so many young people excited about the opportunities available through modern apprenticeships.  There are so many advantages for young people who choose this route to their future, working alongside employers to obtain skills and qualification that will stand them in good stead for their whole career.”

We appreciate the level of encouragement and enthusiasm with which the representatives approached our students and hope that the event inspires many more SJR success stories!

Claire Mills from Stephenson’s Solicitors commented “The event has been an excellent opportunity for students and Stephenson’s to develop new working relationships. We have had some fantastic past students from St John Rigby College join our apprenticeship scheme who are now permanent, full time employees. We hope to see this continue and have already met some strong candidates we would be delighted to work with in the future.”

We have our fingers crossed that these newly established working relationships will flourish, as our students prepare to take the next steps into apprenticeships, employment and Higher Education.
