SJR politics students took part in their annual Q&A with Labour MP for Wigan Lisa Nandy. She discussed the challenges that face an MP in Parliament and the most recent decisions she has had to make with her own votes in the House of Commons.
Lisa went on to answer questions from our students regarding her position on the Presidency of Donald Trump and whether or not he should be allowed to visit the UK. She also discussed her views on Brexit and the economic position of the UK as we move through the negotiations. Lisa also talked about the challenges that female MPs face both in Parliament and the media.
SJR politics students would like to thank Lisa for her time and her willingness to answer their questions and for placing their studies in the real world.
