SJR Teachers of Tomorrow Start Their Teaching Careers

Students on SJR’s Teachers of Tomorrow Elective Programme spent time planning and preparing their micro teach sessions which they delivered this week.  All of the Teachers of Tomorrow had to plan and deliver a 15 minute session aimed at the age group of the children on their current teaching placements.

Our Teachers of Tomorrow did a fantastic job and demonstrated their knowledge of good practice within the classroom.  All sessions were interactive and ensured that the students progressed in each topic.

One of our Teachers of Tomorrow, Matt Winstanley, said “The experience has really boosted my confidence.”  Katie Bolton said “It allowed me to see my strengths and weaknesses going forward as a teacher.”  Emily Sumner said she “Really enjoyed it.  Particularly, using a variety of resources to get both myself and the students involved.”

Our Teachers of Tomorrow show great promise and we look forward to seeing them flourish in their future careers.
