The Future Psychologists and A Level Psychology students visited the University of Manchester for the “Brains, wizards and scientists. What do psychological scientists do?” conference.
Students took part in interactive experiments, and listened to lectures presented by psychologists from the school of Biological Sciences and Health Sciences. The lectures covered a wide variety of research fields, such as, “Understanding perception by brain-hacking,” led by Dr Paul Warren and “A day in the life of a Clinical Psychologist,” led by Dr Louise Egan, who supervises the current PhD Clinical Psychologist trainees at Manchester University.
Our students also had the opportunity to meet and greet current undergraduates and staff. They asked questions about the department and the wider university experience.
This was an inspirational and engaging event at a Russell group university for all the students.
