Future Medics Meet A Medical Student
The Cardinal in college

Former SJR and Westleigh High School student Ashley Poole returned to College to deliver a talk about life as a second year Medic to the Future Medics group. Ashley wanted to take time out of a busy schedule to inspire the next generation of Medics and to thank her teachers for all their support and enthusiasm during her at time at College.

Ashley’s talk prompted many questions from the group who were inspired to follow in her footsteps. The talk, is just the first in a series of events organised for the future medics which will also include a visit to Smelt Mill, the base station of the Bowland Mountain Rescue Team, an overnight stay and laboratory experience sessions at Newcastle University and a ten week work placement at a local hospital.
