Our A Level biology students have been treated to some fantastic experience on site this year. Here are just a couple of them.
DNA FINGERPRINTING
This has included a visit from Edgehill where they showed the students how you can identify the sex of different birds. Our students go the chance to run an electrophoresis gel (often used for finger printing DNA) to see how you could tell which of the birds you had were male and which where female.

ECOLOGY
The No-Mow-May of the college made it possible to do an ecology survey of different parts of the college grounds. The different species of plants found included a huge Southern Marsh Orchid.
Here are the students in the Quad doing a survey with Quadrats.
