Future Classicist meets award winning author Natalie Haynes

Future Classicist student Jacob Owens recently met award winning classicist, writer and comedian Natalie Haynes at Liverpool World Museum. The event, hosted by the museum in connection with charity Classics for All, formed part of the programme of events for the Return of the Gods exhibition which showcases the museum’s stunning collection of over 100 sculptures and objects. Jacob has recently had interviews to study Theology at Oxford University, but took some time out to enjoy listening to Natalie in conversation about ancient Greek myths.

Speaking about the Future Classicists elective course, Jacob said “Future Classicists has given me a good basis for my Theology degree, allowing me to study Latin, and providing historical context for my areas of interest, such as various elements of the Bible and the formation of the Church. I am now looking forward to learning some Ancient Greek after Christmas”.
