Our year 12 BTEC Sport and year 12 BTEC Sport and Exercise Science Extended Diploma students recently visited Old Trafford Football Stadium to experience the life of an elite footballer.
The day started with a look around the stadium museum where students took in the history of the club and witnessed the vast number of trophies won by Manchester United.
Students then took part in a workshop on the ‘Demands of Football’ looking in detail into the physiological responses of the body.
This session was led by one of the club’s Sports Scientists who works with the Women’s First Team.
Students were then treated to a tour of the stadium and were very excited to be able to try on kits worn by some of the greatest football players of all time including Lionel Messi, David Beckham and Francesco Totti.
