Alice joins NHS Heros

Alice joins NHS Heros

Over the last weeks we have seen many acts of bravery and strength in our community. Alice Molyneux, a Year 13 student at St John Rigby College, has shown tremendous courage by assisting those working in the NHS in combatting Coronavirus.

Alice started work at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital as a Health Care Assistant when the government announced the closure of all schools and colleges in the country.

Alice’s Chemistry Teacher and Assistant Principal at SJR said, “We are very proud of the work that Alice is doing. I am sure that Alice will be a source of inspiration to all those she is working with, to her peers at St John Rigby College and to the pupils of her former school, St Bede’s Catholic High School, Ormskirk. I am sure her experience will fuel her desire to enter the NHS in her chosen field.”

Alice has great plans for the future and ultimately aspires to be a doctor, which we have no doubt will be a career in which she will excel.

Thank you Alice, you truly are an inspiration.

St John Rigby College, like many Wigan schools, has donated PPE equipment to Wigan Council and Wigan Paramedics. These include laboratory coats, hand wash, gloves and 75 bottles of hand sanitiser.
