Exciting partnership for T level Health course

Exciting partnership for T level Health course

We are delighted to welcome Louise Freeney at St John Rigby College. Louise will be working in partnership with our T level Health staff and students throughout the course of the academic year on our new pre nursing course.

Louise has 25 years experience working for the NHS from training to qualifying as a Registered Nurse (Adult). Her journey of specialties includes Haematology, Oncology and Vascular Access across various NHS Hospital Trusts across Merseyside and Greater Manchester.

Before leaving the NHS, she was a highly respected, specialised and autonomous practitioner in placing mid to long term Vascular Access devices using ultrasound guidance identifying the need to expand the IV service in providing a skin tunnelled catheter service for patients in hospital and at home. Louise led a team of specialist nurses, supporting hospital committees including the IV Steering Group, Clinical Procurement, Medicines Management and Chemotherapy Service Group offering clinical assurance for IV related subjects ensuring the integration and transformation was streamlined, safe and patient friendly.

Her newest challenge as Clinical Nurse Educator with pfmmedical UK began in June 2016. The role allows continued demonstration of leadership skills, knowledge, experience and expertise. Louise assisted a medium sized private medical company to improve its knowledge, credibility and product range of Vascular Access (VA) devices and supports the VA Sales Consultants who manage their territories, providing up to date clinical data through evidence-based practice, research and introduce pioneering products for the VA market.

Through evidence-based learning and hands on practical sessions, pfmmedical UK provide programmes that are tailor made to the specific needs, convenience and in line with service provisions for healthcare professionals. Training & Education plays a vital role for Practitioners and Clinicians in an ever-changing medical landscape, teaching the insertion and removal of all VA devices. Louise delivers highly detailed clinical training, support through demonstration of innovation, ensuring training and education of any kind is delivered to the highest standard.

We are so excited to begin this new partnership with Louise. Her wealth of knowledge and experience will provide our pre nursing students with vital, fundamental skills needed in order to prepare them for work within the NHS.
