Guest Speaker Visits Future Medics, Dentists and Scientists

Students following our Future Medics & Dentists and Future Scientists Elective Programmes attended a talk from visiting guest speaker, Luke Chaplin, a PhD student from the University of Manchester.
The thoroughly engaging and entertaining talk was about Luke’s progression through education and his PhD project, Automated Analysis of Abdominal Aortic Calcification in Vertebral Fracture Assessment Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry Images.
Luke was a fantastic speaker, who discussed the obstacles he had to overcome during his project, what the ultimate goal is and why the science he is contributing to the world is important.
