Outstanding Results and Exceptional University Success

SJR college outstanding results

St John Rigby College students consistently achieve excellent results which far exceed national benchmarks.  Recently published HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) Data shows that SJR students are exceptionally well prepared for their next steps with 100% of former SJR students completing their university studies in 2022 achieving success in their chosen degrees.  Half of this cohort of students were from families in which parents do not have HE qualifications and 83% of these students (6% above the national average) achieved First Class or Upper Second Class degrees.

What is the SJR formula for success?  Principal, Peter McGhee CBE comments:  “We know that the work we do to develop the knowledge, skills and qualities of our students is a key factor in their future success.  It is vital that students are allowed the opportunity to grow and develop but are also challenged academically to achieve the best possible grades.  We promote a positive attitude towards study – ‘students enjoy learning’ at SJR.  Our teachers are passionate about their subjects and take every opportunity to find learning links beyond the classroom.  We promote an enquiring mind, encouraging students to take initiative and read around their subject outside the classroom.”
