London Trip

London Trip

The London Trip was both highly informative and fun. We got to see the inside of the Palace of Westminster and both iconic chambers within. Since neither were sitting at the time of our visit, we were lucky to tour the floor of the Commons and Lords, showing the unique perspective, many never get the chance to experience. We also explored the Supreme Court of the UK, learning about their constitutional role in our democracy, how they were formed and day-to-day life for the judges at the top of the UK Court System. Alongside these great experiences, we took a walking tour of central London – viewing Buckingham Palace and the brightly lit London Eye surrounded by Christmas Markets – and took a ride on the Tube. Taking the train from Wigan North Western at 6:12am, it was undoubtedly an early start, but the day proved a terrific success, with most falling asleep on our return journey.
