More Than 98% Achievement Rate as Students Celebrate Outstanding Results and Progression Success
Students and staff are celebrating another exceptional year of achievement, with an overall achievement rate of 98.2%, alongside outstanding progression outcomes that have seen students secure destinations including Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine, apprenticeships and employment.
This year’s results demonstrate significant academic success across the College. High-grade achievement at A Level has risen from 43.1% to 48.4%, an increase of 5.3 percentage points on last year, while vocational students achieved an impressive 76% high-grade rate. Achievement rates remain exceptionally strong across all provision, with 97.9% achievement at A Level and 99.5% achievement in vocational qualifications.
Of the 540 applications submitted, 486 students secured accepted offers, representing a 90% success rate. Furthermore, 406 students secured their first-choice destination, while a further 33 students secured their insurance choice, meaning that 91% of students progressed to either their firm or insurance destination.
Among those celebrating are students progressing to some of the most prestigious institutions in the country, including Oxford and Cambridge, alongside students securing places on highly competitive Medicine courses, degree apprenticeships and employment opportunities.

Paula Nolan, Principal, said:
“This year’s results reflect far more than excellent academic achievement. They are a testament to the exceptional relationships that exist between our students and staff. Those relationships are what make our College unique.
Every day, our staff support, challenge and inspire students to become the very best version of themselves and to achieve more than they thought possible. Our inclusive culture means there is no ceiling on what our students can achieve, whether that is securing a place at Oxford or Cambridge, studying Medicine, progressing into a prestigious apprenticeship, or moving directly into employment.
The fact that we have achieved a 98.2% achievement rate, increased our high-grade performance at A Level by more than five percentage points, and seen over nine in ten applicants secure their next-step destination demonstrates what can be achieved when talented young people are supported by a community that truly believes in them.
What makes me most proud is seeing the way our students and staff work together to bring out the very best in one another. Success here is never achieved alone. It is built on trust, encouragement, ambition and a shared commitment to excellence.
We are more than just a College. We are a community, and a community that looks out for one another, celebrates each other’s successes and supports each other through challenges. These results are a reflection of that community, and I could not be prouder of what our students have achieved.”
Following another year of outstanding student success, the College is preparing to welcome prospective students and their families to its upcoming open events. Full details will be published on the College website and social media channels soon, offering visitors the opportunity to experience College life, explore courses and speak with staff and current students.
